Robotics & Manufacturing

Modern manufacturing brings together numerous technologically-advanced careers, including robotics and controls, electronics, drafting and design, machining, and welding. With a globally competitive workforce—especially here in Minnesota—manufacturing companies are always looking for workers with the technical and business skills to help them stay ahead of the pack.

Robotics & Manufacturing tends to attract those who have the curiosity and willingness to experiment. They like to try new things, fail, and then problem-solve until they arrive at the optimal solution. They like to pursue the satisfaction that comes with designing a product, process, or system and see it come to life in a tangible way.

Students prepare for a wide variety of design, technology, and engineering positions, creating high-precision, high-quality products across a range of industries. Students master the latest technologies from several disciplines and collaborate with students from across the College.

Dunwoody’s lab spaces feature state-of-the-moment equipment, much of it donated by industry partners like Zeiss, Haas Automation, Stratasys, and 3M. Instructors have industry experience and professional certifications. They work closely with industry leaders to make sure curriculum and equipment aligns with the current and future state of manufacturing.
