Dunwoody Web Development

NOTE: Dunwoody College isn’t accepting new students into the Web Development program for the 2022-23 academic year. However, the Web Programming & Database Development now offers flexible scheduling (online and on campus).

Learning to code is only one piece of the puzzle that is software development. Take courses in the evening, and get a well-rounded education in open source and proprietary languages and database systems so that you graduate with a diverse set of skills and numerous career path options.

Through a combination of content lectures, hands-on demonstration, and individual practice, you will gain experience in scripting languages; data retrieval; coding practices; logic programming; data structures; and operating systems, including Windows and Linux/Unix development.

Use video games and Lego Mindstorm robots to explore various aspects of programming. Discuss business case studies to learn real-world applications.

Opportunities to work on real projects for real clients allow you to build your résumé and portfolio before graduation. In your final semester, you will also complete a project-based capstone or internship.

Class topics include:

  • Programming Fundamentals
